These songs were written over a three year period largely inspired by travels to 30 countries researching for my book; World Tree Story.
Tales of foreign climes and culture feature heavily, as do family and the people I met and missed while away as a journeyman.
It is interesting to view your ‘homeland’ from abroad to gain a different perspective, and I include a few social/political songs as I have always been a fan of channelling anger through hope in music.
I was lucky to draw on a pool of talented local musicians to play on this album, and for me it is their contributions that really make it work.
